The built in Wifi allows you to control the camera from your Android or iOS device, making it much easier to change settings on the fly while the camera is already in position. You can also see a preview of what your camera will be shooting, helping you to frame your composition. Simply set your HERO3 as a wifi hotspot with a password, then connect your smartphone to that hotspot, and use the GoPro app available on both Google Play and the App Store.
